Why we love art!
ARTventurers have been running award-winning art classes for babies, toddlers and children since 2011 and every week hundreds of children join in with our unique brand of colourful, creative (often messy!) fun across the UK! We have been named as winners in our categories in the What’s On 4 Kids Awards in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 AND 2021 – awards voted by the grown ups who come along and join in the ARTventurers fun each week!
At ARTventurers we LOVE Art!
And we especially LOVE getting children involved in art at an early age – which is why our Baby ARTventurers classes are specially designed for the tiniest artists aged 6 months plus. Some of our branches run classes for even teenier artists too – just contact your local branch for more info!
The aim of all of the ARTventurers sessions is to nurture and develop a child’s creativity by providing them with the opportunities, guidance, inspiration and materials to explore, experiment and express themselves through a range of colourful art, creative and sensory activities PLUS all of our activities and sessions for pre school age children are carefully planned to support the Early Learning goals and in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
All children are individual and the free flow element of our ARTventurers classes recognises this – all of the children can explore and create at their own pace and in their own time. We incorporate fun singing and dancing and social time in our classes too – all combined into a jam packed session of colourful, creative (and often messy!) fun.
Art has SO many benefits – from squishing and squidging in paint to explore colours and textures, learning about the world around us, developing fine and gross motor skills, making friends and building confidence…….we love this little diagram which shows just some of the ways in which art is so great for little people!
One of the things we are proudest of at ARTventurers is watching our Baby and Little ARTventurers grow and develop their skills through coming along to our classes, forming friendships and relationships and becoming confident explorers with lively imaginations……now THAT’s why we love Art!
